Be warned that this is not your standard (boo), haunted house. In fact, this is more of an audience participation type of performance in which the audience (YOU), will become a major part of the show. In saying that, we’re looking for guests with great positive attitudes, who really enjoy getting scared. Only a VERY limited amount of people will be able to attend on any given night. We're looking for exciting, energenic guests to take part in the MCKAMEY MANOR experience.
Another item to be aware of, this is a very in your face, aggressive and claustrophobic experience. Our creatures may very well come in contact with you, but you CANNOT in any way return the contact. If anyone becomes rowdy (cussing, pushing, shoving, running), they will immediately be removed - no questions asked. There is no smoking or drinking (alcohol), allowed on the premises. No one that has been drinking alcohol will be allowed into the haunt and will be asked to leave the property.
Another important item that needs to be understood is that you and your guests will not look the same when you exit as when you first entered the haunt. Do not wear expensive or good clothing. Do not bring anything that cannot get wet. I repeat, this is a highly interactive experience, in which you, the guests, will partake in all the action.
At check-in, you will be required to show I.D. and sign a waiver. This haunt is not recommended for the very young. McKamey Manor is open every Friday and Saturday in October, plus Halloween night from 6 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. The last group going through will begin their tour around 9:15 or 9:30. Be early - be prepared to wait - and be prepared to be turned away if it's crowded.
Lastly, if you have seen the videos, or have already gone through the haunt in the past ... try and keep what you know a secret from your friends. It makes for a more frightening experience. Every group is filmed at all times during the tour for security purposes.
The cost of admission is two nonperishable food items that will be donated to the local food bank.
